The glass transition temperature of PET is about 165°C, and the crystallization temperature range of the material is 120~220°C.


PET is highly hygroscopic at high temperatures. Glass-fiber-reinforced PET materials are also very susceptible to bending deformation at high temperatures. The degree of crystallization of the material can be increased by adding a crystallization enhancer.Transparent products processed with PET have gloss and thermal twist temperatures. Special additives such as mica can be added to PET to minimize bending distortion.If a lower mold temperature is used, it is also possible to obtain a transparent product with unfilled PET material.


The injection molding method is mainly used for the molding of enhanced PET and usually uses a screw injection machine.Screws generally need to be hardened to avoid wear and tear after long-term use. The length of the nozzle hole of the injection machine should be as short as possible, and its diameter should be controlled at about 3mm. Reinforced PET has a melting point of up to 260°C, and a heater with a high power should be installed to prevent the nozzle from clogging. In addition, the tip of the nozzle hole is preferably machined into a reverse cone type, so that the flow channel and the molten material in the nozzle can be easily cut off.
