When BOPET film is combined with other heat-sealable materials (such as CPP film) to make bags, even if the temperature of the heat sealing knife is as high as 220~C, the BOPET film will not melt, deform, or stick to the knife, which is beneficial to the composite film. The bag making process proceeds smoothly. Sometimes, composite packaging bags with a BOPA//BOPET//CPP structure are also produced. At this time, both sides of the BOPET film must be bonded and laminated with adhesive. Therefore, a BOPET film that has been corona-treated on both sides should be used. That’s it. And the surface tension on both sides must reach above 50mN/m to ensure strong adhesion on both sides.

Nowadays, most BOPET films can meet the requirements of high-temperature cooking at 120~128~C, and can even meet the high-temperature cooking at 135°C. However, there are also some BOPET films that have excessive thermal shrinkage and deformation after high-temperature cooking. Therefore, when purchasing BOPET film, be sure to choose products with a small thermal shrinkage rate.
