PBAT is a typical biodegradable plastic that has both the good biodegradability and flexibility of aliphatic polyester and the good mechanical properties, impact properties and heat resistance of aromatic polyester.

PBAT has good ductility, elongation at break, heat resistance and impact resistance, as well as excellent biodegradability. It has good film-forming properties and is usually blended and modified with PLA resin to make end products.
