General Purpose Polystyrene GPPS sheet applications

General Purpose Polystyrene (GPPS), is a colorless, transparent rigid plastic with high transparency, high stiffness, high glass transition temperature, and brittle nature.

High Impact Polystyrene (HIPS), a copolymer of styrene and butadiene, improves the impact strength of the material, but the product is opaque.

The main use of HIPS is as a packaging and disposable material, especially for food packaging materials and tableware. Major applications include everyday packaging containers, cups for vending machines and dispensing, various lids, plates and bowls.

Instrumentation and consumer appliances are one of the growing markets for HIPS products, including small meters, refrigerator interiors and interior parts, TV housings, and air conditioner components.

Food grade HIPS sheet is used for yogurt cups, food packaging trays and packaging trays for drugs and health products after blister molding.

Anti-static HIPS and conductive HIPS sheet can be used for packaging trays and turnover trays for electronic products after blister molding.
