PVC Film for Cold Formed Foil (Alu-Alu)
Cold formed foil, commonly known as Alu-Alu, is an innovative multilayered material predominantly composed of OPA (Oriented Polyamide), Aluminum, and PVC (Polyvinyl Chloride) used in pharmaceutical blister packaging. The arrangement typically involves OPA as the top layer, Aluminum as the middle barrier layer, and PVC as the bottom layer. The use of dry lamination techniques ensures that the layers are securely bonded to offer optimum protection for sensitive pharmaceutical products.
Key Aspects of PVC Film in OPA/Alu/PVC Structure:
- Enhanced Protection: The multilayer composition, including the PVC, provides superior protection against environmental factors such as moisture, gases, and light, which ensures that the pharmaceutical products are well preserved.
Nylon film/OPA offers ALU ALU packaging high mechanical strength leading to protection against ripping and fracture. Additionally, this packaging has de-lamination resistance. Blister packaging is more sensitive to oxygen, light, temperature and chemical than ALU ALU packaging.
