Product Introduction

1. BOPP Film: This is the primary material that forms the base of the label. It's made from high-quality polypropylene resin, which is stretched in two directions during the manufacturing process to increase its strength and stability. The BOPP film is usually 30-80 microns thick, depending on the application.

2. Adhesive: This is the key component that binds the label to the substrate (the surface onto which the label is applied). Adhesives can vary widely depending on the type of application and environmental conditions. Common types include solvent-based, water-based, hot melt, and UV-curable adhesives. Each has different properties such as tackiness, durability, and temperature resistance.

3. Release Paper or Coating: This is a thin layer of paper or a release coating that covers the adhesive side of the label. Its purpose is to protect the adhesive until the label is ready to be applied. When the label is peeled off the release paper or coated layer, it leaves the adhesive intact and sticks to the intended surface.

4. Printing Inks: These are used to print the graphics and text on the label. They can be water-based, solvent-based, or UV-curable, depending on the printing method used (e.g., screen printing, flexography, digital printing). UV-curable inks are particularly popular because they dry instantly under UV light, providing high-quality images and long-term durability.

5. Coating: Sometimes, a topcoat is applied to enhance the appearance of the printed image, improve gloss, or add additional protection against abrasion, water, or chemicals.

6. Lamination: This involves applying a protective layer over the printed side of the label to further enhance its durability and appearance. Common laminates include clear polyester (PET), polyethylene (PE), or a combination of both.
