What are the differences between PVC film, PC film and PET Film?

PVC film, PC film and PET film are common plastic films, they are different in nature and use. 

The following is a comparison in terms of material, performance and application.

First, the material is different

PVC film is made of polyvinyl chloride; PC film is made of polycarbonate; PET film is made from 

polyethylene terephthalate. Therefore, their chemical composition is different, 

resulting in differences in performance.

Second, different performance

1. PVC film

PVC film is a kind of translucent rigid plastic film, with good flexibility, cold and heat resistance.

However, it is not resistant to ultraviolet light, easy to age and yellow, and easy to produce polluting

substances.

2. PC film

PC film is a high-performance plastic film, with high strength and stiffness, but also has good 

heat resistance, cold resistance and corrosion resistance. 

It also has good transparency, impact resistance and scratch resistance. However, the price of PC film is relatively high.

3. PET film

PET film is a kind of plastic film with high transparency, high strength, good heat resistance and 

strong corrosion resistance, which is suitable for packaging food, medicine and other products. 

It has excellent oxygen resistance, moisture resistance and fresh-keeping properties, 

which can extend the shelf life of the product. 

However, PET film can not withstand strong mechanical shock and high temperature, 

easy to deformation.

Third. Different applications

Due to their performance and material differences, 

PVC films are mainly used in construction,agricultural covering, wire and cable covering and other fields; 

PC film is mainly used in electronic appliances, auto parts, industrial packaging and other fields; 

PET film is mainly used in food packaging, beverage bottle caps, pharmaceutical packaging and other

fields.
